Reach Out Run Volunteer Activities: Sabah Wetlands Conservation Society

Kota Kinabalu, Sabah was selected as the second location for Reach Out Run 2016 volunteer activities. On 21st of May 2016, iM4U collaborated with Sabah Wetlands Conservation Society, together with Siti Saleha as the cause ambassador and 30 volunteers from Universiti Malaysia Sabah carried out volunteer work at Kota Kinabalu Wetlands and Sulaman Lake Forest Reserve in Tuaran, Sabah.

The volunteering activities with Sabah Wetland & Conservation Society provided various Environmental Education Programmes for volunteers including the Mangrove Experience Programme, Mangrove Conservation Experience Programme & Mangrove tree planting activities. These programmes are aimed to help spread the awareness of just how important it is to conserve and preserve our wetlands to the public. The participants involved got the chance to learn more about the wetlands and experience the living treasure.
