Conserving Liwagu Catchment:Sustaining Life (WWF Malaysia)

This video features WWF-Malaysia's freshwater project in the Liwagu catchment of Tambunan in Sabah. This 3 year project was fully funded by HSBC Bank Malaysia Berhad and implemented in collaboration with various partners. The project focused on issues on management of water catchment including river conservation. Among the major activities undertaken were a joint scientific expedition with Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) and Sabah Wetlands Conservation Society in 2011, a series of dialogues involving communities in the area and an environmental education programme with local students.
