The Bandung-Barat water- and sanitation project (facilitated by the Rotary International Committee Netherlands-Indonesia)

The Bandung-Barat water- and sanitation project is facilitated by the Rotary International Committee Netherlands-Indonesia and financially supported by a substantial number of Rotary Clubs throughout Holland. Extra donations are made bij different NGO's like there are Simavi and Aqua4all. Technical support is given by the waterdevelopment company Drente. The aim is to supply and improve sanitationfacilities in order to drive back deadly deseases like Cholera, Malaria Typhus. Hundreds of small sanitation facilities, to be build in some 18 villages in the mountains north of Bandung, on the isle of Java, training to the people concerned and a proper maintenance set-up will make that possible. The pictures in this film will underline the enthousiasm of the people concerned after realisation of the first 16 facilities in Nyenang. The first village in a row that will take us up to 2016 before full realisation. For further information please contact rotarian and board member of the International Committee Hugo W Smid at tineke-hugo@euronet.nl.
