This promo introduces the four-part "Bridging Waters" documentaries filmed in the Southern African Development Community (SADC). Each part is 25 minutes long and recognises the importance of transboundary water management in the SADC region.
After all, more than 70 percent of all water allocated to the various uses in the SADC region emanates from shared river basins. Thus, the series highlights the role of water as a vehicle for peace and integration, unlocking the potential for regional prosperity. The first part provides for a general introduction to transboundary water management in the fifteen SADC member states, while the other three explore challenges and projects in three major river basins, namely the Limpopo, the Orange-Senqu, and the Zambezi River basin.
