Are you interested in helping improve water quality in the Rice Creek Watershed? The RCWD is pleased to offer financial assistance to encourage the installation of Best Management Practices (BMPs) that will improve the quality of public waters within the District and mitigate known flooding problems. The RCWD is also responsible for implementing larger water quality, drainage, and wetland improvement projects on its own and with the help of partner agencies.

Formed in 1980 as an alternative to designation of the river into the National Wild and Scenic River System, the Mississippi Headwaters Board (MHB) works to protect and preserve the first 400 miles of the Mississippi River in Minnesota.
