Water Management at Catahoula Lake (Ramsar site)

Catahoula Lake is a Ramsar Wetland of International Importance in central Louisiana and one of the most important habitats for waterfowl in the Lower Mississippi Valley. In recent decades woody vegetation has been increasing at the lake and degrading herbaceous plant communities, which are critical food for waterfowl.
