The Santa Ana Watershed Association (SAWA)

The Santa Ana Watershed Association (SAWA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that strives to restore the natural habitat of the Santa Ana River watershed. We are a leader in removing invasive species in the watershed to conserve water and provide habitat for the native species in the area. Our biologists monitor a variety of species including the endangered Least Bell’s Vireo.

In 2008, the Education and Public Outreach department was created to educate students and the general public about our amazing watershed. Enjoy your exploration of our website and help us spread the word that a healthy watershed benefits everyone. Thank you for your interest in preserving this valuable Southern California resource.
