BBC News - Yemen facing water shortage crisis

Yemen is facing a severe water crisis with some estimates suggesting the capital, Sanaa, could run dry in 10 years. With little being done to harness rainfall in the country, farmers are drilling deeper than ever for water - without any government regulation. Agriculture uses around 90% of the country's water resources - with around half of that being used to cultivate the herbal stimulant khat. Half of Yemen's population has no access to clean water.

Rami Ruhayem reports from Sanaa.
