Le Contrat de Rivière consiste donc à rassembler autour d’une table les pouvoirs publics, riverains, pêcheurs, scientifiques, industriels, agriculteurs, défenseurs de la nature en vue de définir ensemble, chacun dans le cadre de ses compétences et dans la mesure de ses possibilités, un programme d’actions pour restaurer, protéger et valoriser la qualité des cours d’eau, de leurs abords et des ressources en eaux du bassin, mais aussi pour concilier leurs multiples fonctions et usages.

Calusa Waterkeeper

Calusa Waterkeeper, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to the protection of the Caloosahatchee River & Estuary, Lake Okeechobee, Nicodemus Slough, Charlotte Harbor, Estero Bay, the near-shore waters of Lee County, and their watersheds, through education and promotion of responsible use and enjoyment by all people.

Contrat de Rivière Escaut-Lys

Aujourd’hui, le territoire de la Région Wallonne est constitué de 14 Contrats de Rivière. Ces ASBL sont des outils participatifs qui consistent à réunir au sein d’une même structure l’ensemble des gestionnaires et usagers publics et privés d’un même bassin versant. Le but étant de définir un programme d’actions de restauration et de valorisation des milieux aquatiques.

This Center was established in 2005 to carry out surveys and research programs to explore and delineate the current state of the Somali water and environment, identify problems and propose solutions.The Center was established to work for the betterment of the water and environment through research and development, and public education. In a civil war setting, water and environment are the first victims of indiscriminate destruction.

Lake Naivasha Basin Landscape Association

Lake Naivasha Basin Landscape Association (LANABLA) which was founded in 2018 is aimed at promoting and advocating for sustainable management of natural resources in Lake Naivasha Basin. The area of focus include: forestry; sustainable agriculture; climate change adaptation and resilience; sustainable livelihoods and their improvement; sustainable development; policy research; advocacy; partnerships and resource development; capacity and organizational development; and renewable energy among others.
