Sustainable water for the Espanola basin

This recent film explores the basic elements of water sustainability. Produced in the Arid Southwest, within the Española Basin of North Central New Mexico, the film describes the water resources of the basin, the basic legal framework for administering and managing those resources, the cost and role of infrastructure needed to use water resources, and provides an overview of several water management challenges. They include the use of reclaimed water, water conservation, ecosystem protection, adaptation to climate change, and watershed management.
