IWMI Global Wetland Initiative The IWMI Global Wetlands Initiative seeks to provide a multi-purpose and multiple-scale approach to wetlands, wetland conservation, and the wise-use of wetland resources. In particular, we put an emphasis on wetlands within agricultural landscapes and landscape approaches for better management of agricultural interfaces with the terrestrial water cycle. A broad program of wetland research and outreach activities seeks to delineate and understand the interactions of agriculture with terrestrial aquatic ecosystems, its role in meeting expanding global food security needs, and the urgent necessity of conserving wetland biodiversity.

Wetland Link International Wetland Link International (WLI - pronounced 'wellie') is a global network of wetland education centres – places where people can interact with wetlands and wildlife, and learn about them at first hand.
The WLI network embraces wetland nature reserves with a wide range of visitor facilities (e.g. centres run by WWT), environmental education centres, field study centres, zoological and botanical gardens, many interactive natural history museums and a wide variety of community site-based projects and programmes.
Through WLI we can spread some of our experience in getting people learning about wetland wildlife, and increase support for wetland conservation all around the world.
